1. How do I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased on our web site. All major credit cards are accepted. Cash is not accepted.

2. When do I buy tickets? Is advance purchase required?

Tickets must be purchased in advance. You can make a purchase three hours before the Tour starts, but we may be sold out. You don't want to get blocked from the Tour you want at the last minute so check out the availability early.

3. If a tour is sold out can I get on a waiting list?

If a date is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour if you have a large group. It is not our policy to maintain a wait list. But please send us and email or give us a call at 1-866-736-6343 and let us work on it for you. We love to take care of our Customers.

4. Do we tip the Restaurants?

Yes.  Gratuitties are much appreciated by each Restaurant.

5. Are tour guide gratuities included in the price?

NO! The gratuities are not included in the price, and we do encourage you to tip your Tour Guide.   Tips can range from 15% to 20%. If your Tour Guided did a great job and help create a great experience, by all means show them with a tip

6. Are gift certificates available?

Yes, gift certificates are available for all Tours and Events. To purchase a gift certificate, please click on the "Gift certificates: Purchaseā€ link on our web page.

7. Can I book a private tour for my family or corporate work group?

Yes, private tours are available for groups for small and large groups. To inquire about a private tour, please fill out the form on our private tours page or call 813-352-7660. A GourmetTrek representative will contact you to and get to work on your private tour or event.

8. What are the requirements for a private tour?

There is a standard cost to book a private tour. If you book well in advance there is a good chance that we can accommodate your needs.

9. Which tour should I take?

All of them, eventually! But if you are trying to get a flavor for each neighborhood, check out the descriptions on the tour page.

10. Who gives the tours?

Our tour guides are well trained and well fed! We employ a team of culinary enthusiasts, cultural experts, and comedians who are extremely proud to share their knowledge and discoveries with you.

11. Are the tours appropriate for children?

Our food tours have been developed for foodies and history/culture lovers in mind. We find that most children will be bored and not find the information very exciting.

12. How much walking is involved?

We are on our feet for approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

There may be uneven paved roads or sidewalks along with some stairs. Although each Restaurant have to accommodate wheel chairs, please let us know if you think there maybe a challenge when you purchase your ticket. We want you to have the best experience possible.

13. Can I sit down during a tour?

Even though our walking tours are 3 hours, there are spots during each tour to rest. We understand that it might be difficult to be on your feet for a long time. We make sure that everyone is comfortable during our tours.

14. Are tours offered only in languages other than English?

No. We're sorry. Tours are only offered in English at this time.

15. Are there any beverages served on the tour?

There is usually a chance for all tour attendees to purchase an alcoholic or another refreshing beverage on most tours. Your tour guide will keep you posted about these options and when is a good time to grab a drink.

16. How much food is there?

Enough food that you will not walk away hungry. We have never had anyone walk away wanting more.

17. Can you make accommodations for food allergies or vegetarians?

At this time we CAN provide food substitutions for vegetarians on most tours but we CANNOT make food substitutions for any other food allergies (such as gluten-free or dairy-free). We are sorry for the inconvenience. Our Food Tours have been designed to highlight the best and most unique aspects of each establishment. Unfortunately, there isn't always a "next best" option that also meets the special dietary needs of each of our guests. Since we have your health (and palate!) in mind, we truly appreciate your understanding on this issue.

If you have food allergies please contact us before purchasing a tickets for any of our food tours or events.

18. Are the walking tours given in bad weather?

All of our tours are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We will not be outdoors for the entire 3 hours. You should still dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions. It is impossible to cancel a tour at the very last minute due to many circumstances beyond our control. Before purchasing tickets please be aware of the possible weather conditions for that time of year.

19. How should I dress during a tour?

Please dress casual, comfortable, and appropriate for the Florida.
